ReviewPulse Privacy Policy

ReviewPulse is a Shopify app published by MyDeveloper. It lets merchants collect, moderate and display product reviews. For customers of a store, the merchant is the data controller and ReviewPulse processes data on the merchant's behalf.

Data we process

• Merchants: store domain, store name, contact email, plan, and the access token Shopify issues to the app.
• Customers, from orders: name, email address, customer ID, language, order ID and purchased products.
• Review authors: name, email address if provided, rating, review text, and any photos or videos they upload.
• Unsubscribes: the email address of customers who opt out of review emails, so that they are not contacted again.

Why we process it

We use this data only to provide the app: sending review request emails after a purchase, confirming verified purchases, showing reviews on the merchant's store, issuing review discount codes, and letting merchants moderate and report on reviews. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for our own advertising.

Service providers

• Shopify: platform, order data, and storage of review media.
• Our hosting and email delivery providers: running the app and sending review emails.
• Anthropic: only when AI features are in use, review text is sent to generate moderation signals, summaries, translations and reply drafts.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while the app is installed. When Shopify sends a customer redaction request, we delete that customer's data. After a merchant uninstalls the app, we delete the store's data when Shopify sends the store redaction request.

Your rights

Customers should contact the store they bought from to access, correct or delete their data; merchants can do this from the Shopify admin. Every review email has an unsubscribe link.
